Nat West Series - England v West Indies

> West Indies' Chris Gayle scored the 10th fastest Test match century ever in the final match.

Olympic Badminton
> The 2004 Olympic champions came from the Far East with China, Indonesia and Korea winning the five titles.
> China failed to win a single medal in the Men's Singles or Men's Doubles.
> The sport has been on the Olympic calendar since 1992.
> The only gold ever to be won by a nation outside these three went to Denmark.
> China won four golds in 2000. This is the best performance at an Olympic Games.

Olympic Taekwondo
> The gold won by Chinese Taipei's Chen Chih Hsin was the first ever gold for her nation in the Olympic Games.
> The two golds and a silver made Chinese Taipei the most successful nation in 2004 Taekwondo events.
> Taekwondo was one of 10 sports the host nation Greece won at least one medal in in the 2004 Olympics.
> Vietnam's only Olympic medal is a silver won by Tran Hieu Ngan in the Women's Featherweight event in 2000.
> 18 different nations won medals in Olympic Taekwondo in 2000. That number was reduced to 13 in Athens.
