Hamburg Freezers

> The Hamburg Freezers have been a German Ice Hockey league club since June of 2002.
> Their franchise had previously been based in Munich and was called the München Barons.
> The Freezers’ first league match took place on 12 November 2002 with a 5-4 win against Kölner Haie.
> The team made the play-offs in that first season, in which they were eliminated by the Berlin Eisbären.
> In 2004/2005, their third season, the Freezers drew an average home attendance of 12,000 fans.
