Following the sale of research and consultancy company ArkSports Limited to SportBusiness Group PLC in January 2007, the former being a company that she co-founded in 2003, Rachael Church-Sanders has returned to SportBusiness (where she was previously a director) as a consultant, continuing her editorship of e-newsletter Sport and Technology. She is also an independent technology consultant and journalist, operating under her ZagZig Media banner. Her consultancy clients at ArkSports included global technology companies, international rights owners, betting companies and major sponsors. Rachael is the author of several widely-acclaimed business reports including Sport on the Internet (June 2000), The Global Business of Sports Television (March 2003), Bidding and Hosting: The Guide to Successful Sporting Events (October 2003) and The Global Business of Poker (August 2006; Second edition July 2007). She is currently writing The Ultimate Sports Cities Report 2008; Strategies for Successful Event Hosting and Creating a Winning Sports Website, both of which will be published by SportBusiness in 2008. She was the guest contributor to Mediametrie's One Sport Year on the Television in the World 2003 (May 2004), and a contributing author to Mobile Technologies: The Opportunities for Sport (SportBusiness April 2005). Rachael is the previous editor of both the European Sponsorship Newsletter and PACT Magazine for the Producers' Alliance for Cinema and Television. As well as a previous Financial Times newsletter editor, she was also Head of Reports at FT Media & Telecoms for two years with direct responsibility for a list of over 200 management reports covering all aspects of sponsorship, broadcasting, film, new media and telecoms. As well as being a regular conference speaker, guest on international television and radio and an invited university lecturer, Rachael contributes as a writer and interviewee to trade press globally. As well as being Chairman of Bromley Common Football Club and President of the Sport and Technology Executive Club, Rachael is a member of the Royal Television Society, the International Association for Sports Information, the European Sponsorship Association, the Institute of Directors and the World Poker Association.
